Which Tattoo Fits Your Personality?
There are so many choices out there when it comes to tattoos. Have you been considering getting your first tattoo or, are you considering getting an addition to the ink you already have? How do you choose what is right for you? Keep in mind; tattoos are a form of individual expression. So, you want to get something that fits your personality, which is an individual expression of who you are. Consider if you are bold, demure or somewhere in between, then choose the tattoo that best fits your persona.
There are so many different tattoos out there and for each type of tattoo, there are just as many tattoo artists who create unique designs. So, do your research, talk to your friends and make sure you find the artist who is able to ink exactly what you want. When you find the artist whose work you like, consult with the tattoo artist. Talk to the artist about what you think you want and ask for suggestions. Do not allow someone to talk you into a tattoo that you will be disappointed with or uncomfortable about in the end. Make sure the tattoo you choose is something that makes you happy.
Consider the place on your body that you are having inked. Think about whether the area will be exposed on a daily basis or if you are inking a place that is more private and discrete. In those areas that are more private, you can afford to, perhaps, go bolder. Consider if you have a professional job and are having a place like your wrist, hand, neck, arms or legs tattooed. What is going to show when you are on the job? Some employers still are hesitant about hiring professionals with many tattoos. So, if your tattoo is going to affect your bottom line, go bold where the tattoo can be seen in a swimsuit and stay more subtle with your choice of places that can be seen when you are in your work clothes.
Once you decide where the tattoo will be, you will want to consider the types of tattoos that are available. Of course, tattoo artists are great at creating one-of-a-kind unique designs. For this type of tattoo, you will ask the artist to provide you with a sketch, which you will approve or ask for changes. If you are looking for small or subtle tattoos, many women enjoy small flowers, insects, or lettering which represent some special meaning. While hearts, flowers and cartoon characters can represent softness, icons like dragons, superheroes and weapons represent boldness and strength. For women, who want to be bold, go for larger more colorful designs on the back, legs or arms. For men, consider covering large areas of skin with elaborate detailed designs.
No matter what you choose, make sure your tattoo represents you. Do not ever have something inked about which you are not sure. Tattoos are permanent, so make a statement but, make sure that statement is something with which you can live.
